Positive psychology is a field which focuses on positive emotions such as
happiness, optimism, flow, gratitude, goal-striving, achievement,
spirituality, and resiliency. It has been dubbed “the science of happiness." 
Happiness is understood as an enduring state of contentment, not moments
​of ephemeral pleasures.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness can best be described as non-judgmental awareness.
Mindfulness-based approaches are utilized to regulate emotions,
attune us to physical and emotional feelings, and to foster a spirit of
compassion with whatever arises. 

Narrative

Narrative and postmodern approaches examine the words and stories we tell
ourselves about ourselves and others.  We place these stories in personal and larger social contexts.
