Well, now, several weeks later, I have yet to find a violin or instructor and other than a couple attempts, I haven't made the effort. It's always a humbling experience to recognize our limitations, the ways in which we set forth to enhance our lives and bring more meaning and pleasure to day-to-day experience, but WAIT TO BEGIN. Yes, life has been full and rich and busy, BUT, I did declare this as one of my resolutions. I'd like to honor it, carve out the time to explore if the instrument I find much beauty in can be a cultivated fit in my life.
Until then, I have a keen understanding that resolutions are not in vain. The act of reflecting and acknowledging a goal, desire within may be the genesis of a new adventure of sorts that can lead to another understanding of self, a community, life...
