After taking in the loveliness of old-world Vienna, we headed to The Perch, where the view, French music, and wine was almost as delightful as the conversation and many laughs Liz and I shared.
Positive psychology theorist, Dr. Barbara Fredrickson, among others, put forward an idea of "positivity resonance," which suggests that noticing moments of connection with others promotes well-being. These can be micro moments of sharing a smile with someone, a collective enjoyment, such as a sports game or the energy of concert goers-as yesterday, and/or other forms of connection in which we share in a felt-sense of a positive social interaction and recognize it as so.
Cheers to positivity resonance in 2017! :)
